Being Pregnant in a Pandemic ain’t easy & especially when it comes to celebrating the little pregnancy milestones with your loved ones! Me & Shaleen are blessed to have friends like family who were around when we found out our Baby’s gender! It was also my 30th Birthday the same day and Baby Girl is the best gift I could have asked for <3

We did a Sneak Peek test at 10 weeks and NIPT at 11 weeks and both confirmed the gender. However, me and Shaleen didn’t know the gender and our friends received the email. They were the hardest 3 weeks for us as we wanted to combine the celebrations for my 30th and Gender Reveal given the limited gatherings preference in Covid times. As much difficult as it was to not know the gender when we could have known, I wanted to record the moment when we find out the gender with everyone else and if we had known before, it just wouldn’t have been the same! We had our friends and family watching from all over the Country as well as from India. To say it was absolutely electrifying would be an understatement 😀

I ordered this Welcome to The Reveal Sign from Etsy and easel was a part of our local furniture rental. You can find a similar one on Amazon here.

The backdrop:

Marquee letters are totally trending these days and I just knew that I had to get them for this party. We used Alphalit to rent the letters and it was $50 for each letter (rental) plus $200 Installation & Delivery cost. The Backdrop without the balloons costed us around $700 which I think is a little pricey but it was worth creating the memories that we did 🙂 I also explored other buying/renting/pickup options but especially because our letters needed to be stacked, it made the most sense to go with professional installation!

There are a lot of DIY balloon garland sets available online and in stores such as Michaels, Party City but we again went with a professional as we already had a lot on our plate and DIY balloon garlands a day before the event would have been very time consuming. Our garlands were from Girl Friday Creative in Minneapolis and we got the balloons a day before. They usually stay good for 1-2 days. We did have a few bursts but the way they’re arranged, they readjust and doesn’t affect the garland if a few of them burst. Each Balloon garland was 8 feet long and costed us $75 (each).

Centerpieces:

I found this idea on Pinterest and loved it! We got the Mason Jars & the Baby shoes decor from Dollar Store, Glitter from Amazon and I made the tulle pom-poms at home. I looked at ordering the tulle pom-poms from Etsy but when I googled how to make them, it was literally less than half the price on Etsy. So, I embarked on DIY journey with them and they turned out beautiful! Here is the Tulle I got from Amazon and here is the YouTube Video I followed to make them. I also just used the grilling bamboo skewers at home instead of ordering new sticks. The Question Marks were cupcake toppers from Amazon and I just replaced their small sticks with skewers to match the mason jar size.

Blue & Pink elements:

As much as its clichéd, I really wanted a Blue and Pink corner for our gender reveal party. I decided to make it a mix of edible and non-edible decor to ensure we’re not just spending on one time decor. Here are the deets:
Cupcakes and Macarons by Sugar Dust & Sprinkles in Minneapolis
Candy Melts from Michaels
Cookies from Etsy
Gender Reveal Buttons from Amazon
Blue and Pink Flower Pots from Amazon
Cradle & Baby pins mini pieces from Dollar Store
Mini Photo frames for Ultrasounds from Michaels (Edited Ultrasounds in Canva)
My cupcake stand was from Martha Stewart Crafts at Michaels but isn’t available right now. Found a similar one on Amazon .

‘What’s the Scoop’ Poster:

I designed this poster in Canva myself, printed it at Walgreens (don’t forget to check Walgreens Photo coupon codes on RetailMeNot) and pasted it on a cardboard (also added some embossed stickers from Michales). I got the colored paper from Dollar Store and cut out some scoops to go on it with people’s names 🙂

Tiered Sign Board:

Another idea that I found on Pinterest! Instead of wooden planks, I used heavy duty cardboard from Michaels (White color), cut them into rectangular pieces, painted them Blue and Pink using poster colors and used Chalk Markers from Amazon for the writing. I had a wooden pole from Home Depot and used heavy duty double sided tape to stick the cardboards to the pole and dug it into the soil. Make sure you keep it secure and that it doesn’t topple with the wind as it could be a safety hazard.

Favors:

I bought the Pink and Blue Martha Stewart Favor boxes from Michaels and had one Pink and one Blue Macaron in them. I also added these cute little bottle openers to the favors from Amazon. Here are the custom stickers I ordered from Etsy for the favor boxes.

Games & Prizes:

We had two fun games and everyone loved them. Linking both of them here:

Boobs or Butts from Amazon
Mom or Dad from Etsy – printed at Home on Card stock

Here is the super cute Game prize: Egg Whisker from Bed, Bath & Beyond

Other Decor:

Garage Door Custom banner from Personalization Mall for $30
Garage Door Balloon Garlands also from Girl Friday Creative

Added some Balloons from Party City on our Deck to add to the decor.

We had some live stations such as Cotton Candy, Popcorn maker, Ice Shaving machine etc. The watermelon in the picture was cut using a small heart shaped cookie cutter 🙂

We opted for fresh Mediterranean Food from Naf Naf Grill for a breezy Summer afternoon.

Its a Girl Yard Sign (Our friends put it after the Reveal obviously) from Michaels

Gender Reveal Confetti & Smoke Poppers from Amazon

We’re so excited to meet our Baby Girl in January 2021!! #BabeArora
