I celebrated my 28th Birthday last week with my favorite people at Calhoun Beach Club in Minneapolis and given the elaborate coverage on Insta Stories, there were a lot of questions & comments on the decor. I usually try to plan my events on my own…you know trust issues 😛 but I’m always open to feedback as well! I try to find creativity in the elements found easily and incorporate them into my decor as effectively as possible. One such example is using a Wreath to make my cake table chic and add some more glamour to my Cake 😉

Floral Wreath with Cake stand

The little wooden flower holders are actually table card holders and I used them as centerpieces for my Cocktail tables as well as on the cake table after removing the holders. Find similar floral wreaths on Amazon Here!

I am a huge fan of photo backdrops! Me & Hubs have created a lot of DIY photo booths for Diwali, social events etc. Due to lack of time, we decided to outsource the Birthday backdrop to Sprinkles & Confetti , a local event planning company in MN. I did send them inspirations from Pinterest to match my color theme & design ideas, & we were very happy by their execution (they work with local designers)! I handpicked the balloon combinations at party city and was very relieved when they matched the backdrop 😉 The 22×28 Welcome poster was also by Sprinkles & Confetti and costed us $40, find similar designs on Etsy Here (might have extra printing cost)!

The backdrop was 8×8 Vinyl (although I think 8×10 would have been better) and we used a Backdrop Stand to set it up. It costed us $175 for this backdrop with an additional fee of $75 for the custom artwork. I have seen similar options on Etsy, check some of them out Here!

The venue (Calhoun Beach Club) was kind enough to open up their newly done Bridal room for me to take pictures & the room was breathtakingly beautiful.. #BloggerLife 😉

I kept my centerpieces simple & elegant keeping up with the floral theme & added candles to complete the tables. These centerpieces were $20 each from Home Goods but you can also find them on rent at local party rentals or go with the fresh arrangement options depending on the budget (Usually mid size fresh arrangements start around $40 each)

Lastly, the favors! I ordered these cute little candy tins from Beau Coup. They come with a sheet of customized stickers (plenty of designs to choose from) & you’ll need to stick them to the tins. You can also order tins from Amazon & order the stickers separately from a printing company such as Avery.

My Favor sign was also by Sprinkles and Confetti ($20) but you can always design your own and get it printed on a photo paper! The adorable white cages were custom made in India and an alternate would be to get the Plain cages on Amazon and decorate them with ribbons & artificial flowers. I used a Decorative box from Michaels to keep my tins in place & it worked perfectly. I always try to keep favors edible/useful to ensure they don’t go waste once guests take them home and hence I filled these tins with chocolate covered almonds from Costco!

Here is another Idea for favors that I used for my last Birthday (Wish I had a better picture of them)

All in all its the people around that make your special day extra special but a little decor never hurts 😉
