Outfits:

Dress to impress this Holi with stylish and comfortable outfits that are perfect for the occasion. Opt for traditional Indian attire like kurtas and pastel suits for a classic look, or go bold with colorful dresses and accessories that reflect the spirit of the festival. Don’t forget to stock up on white clothes that you don’t mind getting stained – after all, what’s Holi without a little color?

Books: Dive into the Stories Behind the Festival

Educate and entertain your little ones with Holi-themed books that teach the story behind the festival. Reading together is a great way to bond as a family and pass on the traditions and values associated with Holi.

Games:

Keep the fun going with entertaining games and activities that will bring everyone together. Organize a friendly game of water balloon toss or set up a Holi-themed scavenger hunt for the kids. Play a twist on musical chairs where participants sit on colors instead of chairs when the music stops. For a more relaxed atmosphere, try playing traditional Holi songs and encourage guests to dance and sing along. Make sure you make safe choices 🙂

Color Play

  • Organic Colors: Choose eco-friendly, organic powders that are safe for the skin and the environment.
  • Water Buckets & Pichkaris: Fill several buckets with colored water and provide pichkaris for a fun water fight.
  • Tents and Shields: Set up small tents or shields for those who wish to play it safe and remain relatively color-free.

Respect people’s choice if they don’t want to engage in color/water play! Be safe.

  1. Very nice blog and so damn helpful. Im planning to have a holi party in our backyard. Any idea on how we can make sure our house/furniture doesn’t get dirty or kids dont enter inside the house? How did you manage that part?
