The aura that is created with the spectacle of red & pink hearts, flowers, pom-poms and more, makes Valentine’s season one of my favorites! Not that the love for your dear ones needs to be expressed once a year, but Valentine’s day is a perfect occasion to be a little extra expressive and keep that spark alive! I am doing a series of Valentines Blogs, right from planning your look to starting your own Valentines Traditions! Speaking of keeping the spake alive, I also have a blog post coming up to talk about how to plan a lovely Valentines surprise for your special someone! These little celebrations may seem trivial but one day when you look back at them, you’ll realize that they were the BIG things!
Whether you’re a fan of pink & red or not, you can always define your own look for Valentines and leave your date astounded by your stunning looks 😉
If you want to go the Chic route, try the above look with a plain skirt combined with a trendy top & accessorize it your way. This look is comfy & stylish which makes it perfect for a day or even a night out! Checkout some Crop Tops & Pink tone Skirts at Forever 21.
My next look was a classy Valentine affaire apt for an elegant Dinner date. The ruffled bell sleeves red cardigan & the belt added the valentine essence and uplifted the entire look. The leather skirt & georgette top combination can easily be worn as a standalone outfit as well, so you can play with the combination as you like! As soon as I came across the Red fabric earrings at H&M, I knew I had to get them for this & and I’m glad I did, they were exactly what I wanted to accessorize this look with!
Wanna keep it casual and pretty? Why not! Thats what I love about Valentines looks, you can never go wrong! My Red Corduroy button up skirt put together with a Lip Graphic Tee & White sneakers gave my outfit a cute & casual look! Red & white is a combination that can give you a subtle yet sharp look depending on how you style it. As I always say, accessories can take the outfits to another level when done right! My White shades from Michael Kors & Striped Bag from Zara blended really well with the whole look!
Not a big fan of Red or Pink? LBD always works! A black dress accessorized right will always make you look graceful & charming for any occasion and Valentines can surely be one of them! For my first LBD look, I chose a modish off shoulder dress from Zara accessorized with a Silver belt from INC at Macys & Louboutins , and of course the Red sole was a perfect Valentines addition! For my second look, I went with a high low black dress with Style & Co. red sandals from Macys and co-ordinated it with a Michael Kors handbag!
I hope that the above looks inspire you in some way to decide your look for this lovely occasion! Most importantly, don’t forget to wear that smile & let your inner beauty reflect in your eyes, and look stylish while you do that!
