I posted an Instagram story of reading a book to Aaira & received a lot of questions on which books are recommended for her age (She was 2.5 months at the time & is 3 months old now) and whether it even makes sense to read a book to an infant. Honestly, I feel that its never too early to start inculcating good habits in your babies and get them familiar with activities like reading books.
Having said that, it’s important that you do some research on what makes the most sense for this age. Aaira has a lot of books that she may not use until she is older but I wanted to introduce basics like colors, touch & feel books, sounds etc. Even though its only after 3-4 months that babies can see colors clearly, they do start seeing some colors early on and we used a Black and White book to develop her vision when she was a month old.
